Classic Obama

Obama is faced with a high probability that the Supreme Court will overturn his signature initiative “Obamacare” (aka The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) and he is now lobbying the Supreme Court to think twice about striking this law down because that could cause Medicare payment disruptions.  From the Detroit Free Press article:

“In papers filed with the Supreme Court, administration lawyers warned of “extraordinary disruption” if Medicare is forced to unwind countless transactions that are based on payment changes required by more than 20 separate sections of the Affordable Care Act.”

This is a classical Obama ploy – pass a bill that is not only unconstitutional but so complicated that it would be almost impossible to undo its evil effects due to bureaucracy.  Has this ever happened before?  We have a sitting President threatening (yes that is the word I use) the Supreme Court to abandon their duty to uphold the Constitution.  Is this a basis for Treason?

Conservatives knew that once Obamacare passed, Leftists would fast track re-writing Healthcare, Insurance and Medicare rules/guidelines to the point that it would be next to impossible to correct them.  It is not a surprise that this is exactly what happened and it is no surprise that Obama is using this lame excuse to keep the law on the books.

This is why Nancy Pelosi once said that we have to pass the bill to find out what is in it.  Passing the bill was just the beginning but the true evils of the bill would not be realized until the Health and Human Services (HHS) finished rewriting the healthcare regulations once Obamacare’s passage gave them the ability to do just that.

It is quite telling that Obama isn’t trying to defend Obamacare on its merits but instead he’s saying it would be too complicated to undo the bureaucratic rules.  Is this all he has?  Saying that it would be too complicated to undo Obamacare is not a reason to prevent the Supreme Court from striking it down on Constitutional grounds.  But then again, this is par for the course for a President that blames everyone but himself for the catastrophes that he and his team have created.

Sorry Obama but I think “unconstitutional” trumps “extraordinary disruption” every day of the week and twice on Sunday.  We can live with the temporary disruptions while we correct for the mistakes of Obamacare but we will not be able to survive, long term, with Obamacare still the law of the land.  Obama needs to quit the whining and accept the fact that Obamacare is a failure just like the rest of his Presidency.

  1. A crying baby is the perfect image to remember what Pres. Obama and company are pushing for: a nanny state.
