   Maybe they’re taking the temperature in the wrong place. (outside airconditioning exhausts, on asphalt parking lots, cities.)
   Or maybe someone isn’t transcribing the temperature correctly. Making earlier temps lower and it just appears higher this year.
   Or maybe there’s a demon at NASA.

     There is a ‘demon’ at NASA and his name is Gavin Schmidt! He’s the chief data manipulator.
