The Ghouls of the Left Come Out

If you haven’t been following the horrible atrocities coming to light from the Kermit Gosnell trial, then watch this video first.  Warning, this is very disturbing and details the brutal murder of babies that occurred for years inside a Philadelphia abortion clinic.

Severed feet, cutting the heads off babies that were born alive…..Disgusting and May God have mercy on our nation for allowing this to happen.

What is the reaction from the Far Left?  They are worried that this story will impact policies (i.e. Abortion) that they like.  They want the story suppressed and marginalized.

Just look at a few tweets from a couple of Leftist Ghouls on Twitter.

Here are a few of my replies to them (which of course went unanswered).

Leftists are upset about this Gosnell story, not because of the horrific murder of babies, but because this revelation of the true brutality of abortion might undermine their agenda.  They are just awful people.

Don’t forget that Obama once supported these kinds of abortions.

This is a story that needs to be told and a discussion that needs to happen in a thoughtful, rational and scientific way if a solution is ever to be reached. Late term abortions are disgusting, but so is sentencing a young woman or teen to a life interrupted or unalterably changed because she shared in a mistake with a young man or boy in a moment of instinctive passion.

There is room on both sides of this debate for common ground, in my opinion. The left has no right to kill a baby that has reached the stage where it is capable of survival with appropriate medical help. And the right has no right to condemn a young woman to a life less lived our of some hysterical “belief” or “feeling” that human life begins at conception.

Human life is expressed as intellectual superiority over all other creatures and a fetus has no such capability. It can not plead for its own life. It can not ask to be returned unopened because it is about to be born into a family that contains a drug addict and a pedophile.

It can’t do anything more than a group of cancer cells can do…it can only grow until it reaches a point where it no longer needs a host to survive. In the case of cancer, when the host dies, the cancer dies with it.

In the case of the fetus, when it reaches a particular stage of development [medical experts generally agree a point around 16 weeks] where it can survive with advanced care, in my view, because it has a real possibility of viability, it has also reached the point where it can begin moving intellectually from tabula rasa to a rationally thinking human being just as any other newborn is viewed by all.

How will the right who believe life begins at conception and that fetal stem cells should not be used to help formulate cures for the suffering going to react when physicians begin transplanting fertilized eggs in utero from one woman [who doesn’t want the child or an abortion] to another woman who does want a child but can not conceive? What holy grail will be raised when this bridge, soon to open, receives requests for crossing? What will the phrase “pro-life” come to mean then?

Wow, Rick. Rationalization of murder using convenience all while ignoring the option of adoption…just think of all those gay couples out there who want a baby if it helps you to choose life over murder.

Rick, “it” is a baby and “it” is the consequence of irresponsible behavior. Telling how you’re more concerned about a young lady’s “inconvenience”. Also telling how a viewpoint different than yours is so casually labeled as “hysterical”. What makes the opinion that life begins at conception any more hysterical than the opinion that life doesn’t begin until the baby has been birthed? Additionally, your argument that life begins at “rational thinking” is suspect, at best. Who determines when one is capable of rational thought? How do you objectively measure rational thought? I know many adults seemingly not capable of rational thought, should I be able to end their lives or should I run it past you first? Based on your comments, I would assume that you’re thoughts/opinions/stances on such subjects more align with the liberal left. The liberals fancy themselves as “Champions of the downtrodden” or those too weak to fight for themselves, correct? Do you not see the hypocrisy of not having a problem with a life being taken from a being unable to defend him/herself? Abortion to save the life of a mother or due to a fatal defect in the fetus is one conversation, but I challenge you to read/listen to the testimony of how these abortions were handled and ask yourself, at what point does life begin and when is this “procedure” ethical. If convenience of the pregnant mother (regardless of age) is the answer, then I have no use in discussing this with you as our values are too different.
