The following comment was post to a previous blog post about the poor sales of the Chevy Volt as compared to the Nissan Leaf:

Well, technically that comment is true.  People are still buying EV’s but the sales trend doesn’t look good for the Chevy Volt and another popular Electric Vehicle (EV,) the Nissan Leaf, over the last 2 months.

The plunge in sales for these two popular EV’s is even worse when plotted against all US auto sales.

Two data points (sales numbers for January and February 2014) do not make a trend but this is worth keeping an eye on.
