Today on AC360, Hilary Rosen made the following statements about Ann Romney (Mitt Romney’s wife):

“What you have is Mitt Romney running around the country saying, “Well, my wife tells me what women really care about are economic issues.” And, “When I listen to my wife, that’s what I’m hearing.” Guess what? His wife has never actually worked a day in her life. She’s never really dealt with the economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing—in terms of how do we feed our kids, how do we send them to school, and how do—why we worry about their future.”

It should be noted that the Romney’s have five children so Ann Romney’s job was a stay-at-home-mom and if anyone thinks this profession isn’t a real job then I can’t take you seriously.  In my opinion there is no more noble profession than raising children and in many American households, this job falls to the wife.  This statement by Ms. Rosen is an insult to my wife, my mother and any woman or man who undertakes the high calling of being the primary child rearing parent. 

In keeping with the custom of Leftists, Hilary Rosen took to twitter (@hilaryr) to try and walk this back.

So Ms. Rosen believes a stay-at-home mom truly ‘works’ only if she has to take care of the kids and hold down a job outside of the house. 

She also makes the true statement that Mrs. Romney isn’t running for president but if that is the case then why did Ms. Rosen choose to call her a lazy women who has never worked in her life?  Sorry Ms. Rosen, you brought this up and your words and tweets are now in the public domain to show how clueless you are about the profession of Motherhood.

For months the Leftists have been trying to spin the false War on Women that they claim the Republicans have been waging but now we see the true war on Women and more specifically the War on Moms the Left just started. 

Oh wait, it hasn’t just started.  Hillary Clinton took a shot at moms in 2008 when she stated that she “could’ve stayed at home and baked cookies” so maybe this War on Moms has been a plank in the Leftist platform all along.  Ms. Rosen just revealed it and if it’s war she wants then it’s war she’ll get.

ADDENDUM:  Ms. Rosen works at SDKknickerbocker (A PR firm) and she serves as a Managing Director alongside Anita Dunn who was the White House Communications Director in 2009 for the Obama White House.   This firm worked for the Obama 2008 election campaign.
