The Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) cult is getting bold. They are actually showing us how much they have adjusted the raw temperature data and the data is hiding in plain sight.
The US Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) data set has seen numerous adjustments and the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) tells us about them here. At the bottom of the page you’ll find this graph showing the total adjustments they’ve made to the USHCN data set since 1900.
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that the last few decades have been adjusted UP 0.3 – 0.5°F (or 0.17 – 0.3°C) yet the temperature data prior to that has been adjusted down or left alone.
Well, they have to do that or else they have to deal with the temperature data from satellites that show no warming over the past 17 years.

Why lie about the data? If your “concern” is that there is “global warming” that’s going to seriously affect the planet, and there is no such data to support that concern, isn’t that a GOOD thing? Unless of course, your REAL goal has NOTHING TO DO with concern over the planet, but rather with opening doors for increased regulation to punish the achieving nations (well, NATION, since the U.S. is the ONLY offender in their minds.) and drive them back into the stone age….
That, and there’s also thousands of dollars in government grants to study “global warming”, none to study “everything’s normal”. If someone proves it’s a massive hoax then there goes all the research money and hundreds of climate researchers would suddenly have to find a way to earn their living, teaching or something.
